Hosanna
This Palm Sunday Pastor Joel explores the profound connection between Psalm 118 and Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem. He reveals how the crowds unknowingly sang prophetic words as they proclaimed "Hosanna" and "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord," not realizing they were witnessing the festival sacrifice Himself entering the city. Pastor Joel emphasizes that while Israel expected deliverance from Rome, Jesus came to conquer a far greater enemy—sin and death. Through Christ, the rejected cornerstone, believers now have direct access to God's presence, no longer requiring yearly sacrifices but resting in the once-for-all sacrifice of Jesus. He calls believers to move beyond perfunctory thanksgiving to deep, purposeful worship that remembers our desperate condition and God's magnificent salvation.
