Our Work Is For God

Pastor Joel teaches through 1 Timothy 5:23-6:5 calling believers to orient every area of their lives, including their work, their conduct, and their character, toward God rather than toward the approval of others or personal gain. He addresses several interconnected themes: the reality that faithful ministry does not guarantee physical ease, the certainty that both sin and good works will ultimately be revealed by God, the responsibility of believers to honor those in authority over them in the workplace as a testimony to the name of Christ, and the danger of false teachers who distort sound doctrine for selfish ends. Throughout, the unifying call is that everything believers do should be done with God in view, for his glory, and in light of the coming judgment where all things will be made plain.
