Complete in Christ
Pastor Joel emphasizes that believers are spiritually complete in Christ and need nothing else for fulfillment or salvation. He addresses the danger of being captivated by worldly philosophies, human traditions, and religious systems that promise spiritual completeness apart from Jesus. Drawing from Colossians 2, Pastor Joel stresses that the fullness of deity dwells bodily in Christ, and believers who are united with Him lack nothing spiritually. He warns against supplementing the gospel with legalism, mysticism, astrology, or other teachings rooted in human tradition or demonic influence. True completeness comes only through Christ's finished work on the cross, where our debt was canceled and spiritual enemies were defeated. The appropriate response to this grace is wholehearted devotion and allowing God's Word to dwell richly within us.
