Fulfill the Ministry
Pastor Joel emphasizes the critical importance of faithfully fulfilling the ministry and calling that God has given to each believer. Drawing from Colossians 4:7-18, Pastor Joel examines Paul's commendations of faithful ministry companions and his specific charge to Archippus to "fulfill the ministry" he received from the Lord. He challenges believers to move beyond consumeristic church attendance to active, sacrificial service in the body of Christ. Pastor Joel stresses that ministry effectiveness flows from persistent prayer, even when it feels like a struggle, and that each believer has a personal responsibility to see that they complete what God has entrusted to them. He calls for prioritizing service to God at the center of life rather than the periphery, stepping out in faith despite feelings of inadequacy, and being faithful even when tired or discouraged. Pastor Joel vulnerably shares his own struggle that morning to minister while feeling sick and run down, illustrating that fulfilling ministry means serving even when we don't feel like it.
