In His Time

Drawing from Exodus chapters 5 and 6, Pastor Joel explores the themes of divine timing, faithful obedience, and perseverance through discouragement. Moses and Aaron obediently confront Pharaoh with God's command to release Israel, only to see conditions worsen rather than improve. Rather than signaling God's absence, this opposition foreshadows an even greater display of His power. Pastor Joel challenges believers to resist the temptation to complain or give up when obedience to God produces unexpected hardship, and instead to bring their brokenness before the Lord, hold fast to His promises, and remain faithful to the charge He has given. He also draws a parallel between Pharaoh's prideful rejection of God's authority and the posture of modern culture, which sets itself up as its own god and refuses submission to the Lord.
